Transformation is a process. We don’t automatically become perfect the second we choose to follow Jesus. The process of becoming like Him is simultaneously filled with joy and difficulty, hope for the future and struggle overcoming our past. But we have found that the challenge of the journey is nothing in comparison to the peace and satisfaction we have found in Christ. 

Before beginning this assessment, take some time to pray. Ask God to remind you of his grace and mercy that is already covering every part of who you are. Ask him for protection against feelings of insecurity or being overwhelmed. Ask him for vision to see yourself accurately so that you are able to surrender the parts of yourself that are unlike him to be refined – even when it will hurt. 

Remember- “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6. Let the good work begin.
